Abstract

There are approximatelly 12,500 CSWs who work ill the big localisations in Surabaya, with the prevalence of STDs such as gonorrhoae is the highest, about 15 %. Controlling and monitoring program of STD are required, because the previuos program RMT can not overcome it. Even it is suspected that RMT evoke the penicilline resistance strain or NGPP. Therefore controlling system called STD clinic program at the localisation (KPMS) is developed. A quasi experimental study, to analyzing the difference between RMT and KPMS programs in the Neisseria gonorrhoeae infection and NGPP strain was conducted to this study. The study population, base on total population, cosisted of 388 CSW 8 in Klakahrejo, Benowo sub-district, Surabaya, 190 followed the RMT program and 198 followed the KPMS program. Benzatine penicilline G 1,2 millions unit was injected intra-muscullar every two weeks at the RMT programs. Clinical examinations, simple laboratory examinations diplococcus negative gram staining confirmed by cultured and treatment base on the result of examination and laboratory result, the CSW s return within two weeks.
