Abstract
Dragon fruit is one of the plantation products that is starting to become massive in Banyuwangi. Dragon fruit skin that is not utilized has the potential as an additional ingredient in animal feed because of its nutritional content. This paper aims to provide information related to the nutritional content of dragon fruit skin that can be used as a mixture of animal feed. The method of writing this work uses literature studies from various journals that discuss the use of dragon fruit skin in the form of direct addition or by treatment such as fermentation. Dragon fruit peel without treatment has content a fairly good nutrient, namely 8.76% protein, 25.09% crude fiber, 1.32% fat, 2887 kcal/kg energy, 1.75% calcium, 18.76% ash, and 0,30% phosphorus. The fermented dragon fruit peel has a higher protein and energy content than the untreated dragon fruit peel.
