Abstract
Premenopausal is phase about 40 years old and this is the beginning of the climacteric phase. This phase is characterized by irregular menstrual cycles, with an elongated menstrual and amount of menstrual blood, sometimes accompanied by dysmenorrhea. Anxiety is often happen during this phase. The purpose of this study is to analyse factors that correlated with anxiety rate of premenopausal women.
This study used cross sectional design. Population was all women who on age 40-50 at RW 03 Kelurahan Sidomoro Gresik. Total sample was 21 taken by purposive sampling. Independent variable was factors that correlated with anxiety such as knowledge, perception, and family support. The dependent variable was anxiety rate of premenopausal women. Data was collected by questioner and Covi Anxiety Scale. Then it was analyzed by Spearman’s Rank Correlation with significance level a ≤ 0.05.
The result of Spearman’s Rank Correlation p = 0.000 and coefficient correlation r = 0.735 in knowledge, p = 0.002 and coefficient correlation r = 0.63 in perception, and p = 0.018 and coefficient correlation r = 0.511 in family support. It means there were correlation among knowledge, perception, and family support with anxiety rate in premenopausal women.
It can be concluded that anxiety rate of premenopausal women are related with many aspect, such as knowledge, perception, and family support. And the dominant factor of anxiety rate of premenopausal women is knowledge.
