Abstract

Hyperbaric oxygenation effect was investigated on free radic-als decrease in datient diabetes mellitus type 2. Method used Randomized Control Pre test Post test Design. Hyperbaric oxygenation has been held in Indonesia Health Institute and laboratoriurn testing in laboratorium Biomedik Medicine Faculty in Brawijaya University Malang. Objects of the experimental were 9 patient diabetes mellitus type 2. 45 - 65 years old, which divided into two group, experimental and control grouip. The experimental group was exposed hyperbaric oxygenation at 2.4 ATA breathing 100 % 02 for 3 x 30 minutes with 5 minutes interval breathing air to 10 days continued. For control group breathing air 1 at ATA. The blood serum taken before exposure, after 5 session, and after 10 session HBO exposure. The measurement of MDA using spectrophotometry, trgliseric using GPO PAP, and blood glucose using enzimatic colorimetry. Data obtanined were analyzed statistically using descriptive, normality, multivariate, as well as discrimimuu, Analysis result three condition the changing (delta) between pra HBO with HBO after 5 days, FIBO after 5 days with HBO after 10 days, dan pra HBO with HBO after 10 days can for analysis with discriminant i.e : the changing condition (delta) between pra HBO with HBO after 5 days. Analysis result using Wilks Lambda method F = 18.367 with signifincant level P).00 (P4,05) means MDA and blood glucose between pra HBO with HBO after 5 days significant different between before hyperbaric oxygenation with HBO exposure, After treatment MDA and blood glucose had positif contributed up to hyperbaric oxygenation, The result analysis, we conclude effects of hyperbaric oxygenation 5 days at 2,4 ATA breathing 100 % 02 for 3 x 30 minutes with 5 minutes interval breathing air to 10 days confinued rather than effective decrease MDA and blood glucose.
