Health education is basically a process to educate individual or people in order to make them capable to learn solving their health problem as well as adapting to their life environment which is related with mental wellness. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of menopause health education on anxiety in premenopausal women at RW 02 Kelurahan Kelutan Trenggalek. This was a quasy-experimental research. The collected samples comprised 26 persons within age 45-50 years living in RW 02 Kelurahan Kelutan Trenggalek, divided between: 13 persons in Treatment group and the rest 13 persons belonged to Control group. The independent variable is health education, while the dependent variable was the anxiety level of premenopausal women. The statistical test used was ‘Wilcoxom Sign Rank Test’ and ‘Mann Whitney Test’ with the level of significance α≤0,05. The result of ‘Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test’ to the treatment group showed the value of p = 0.002. In the other hand, the p value of the control group was 0.102 and the result of ‘Mann Whitney Test’ showed the value of p = 0.044. The conclusion is that health education can indirectly improve adaptive psychological response that it can decrease the level of anxiety of women to face menopause.
