Abstract

Sexual behavior in mid adolescent constitutes multidimensial problems; regarded by various factors thyself and also from outside self stripling. This study was aimed to investigate and to explain the correlating between adolescent attitudes toward sexuality, personal agency, knowledge about reproduction health, sexual contagion, contraceptive device, constraints environmental and sexual behavior on adolescent (14-18 years) who lived in Jarak and Dolly red area surabaya. Design used in this study was a descriptive, cross sectional. The population were all of adolescence who lived in Jarak and Dolly prostitution area Surabaya. The sample was 88 repondent, taken according to inclusion criteria. The independent variable were attitude, personal agency, knowledge and constraints environmental. Sexual behavior of adolescent (14-18 years old) became the dependent variable. Data were collected using structured questionnaires with multiple choice questions and were then analyzed using spearman’s rho correlation with level of significance of p = 0,1. The result showed that attitude, personal agency, knowledge and constraints environmental have low correlation with sexual behavior in mid adolescence. It can be concluded that attitude, personal agency, knowledge and constraints environmental has low correlation with sexual behavior in adolescence. It is recommended to nurse, parent, and public to give adequate knowledge to mid adolescent managing their sexual behavior. Further studies are needed to explain about adolescent sexual behavior based on the other theories and factors which weren’t analyzed by thee researcher is intention.
