Abstract

Although generally health service in Dr. Moh. Saleh Hospital was good, but complaints about nursing service were still found. There were less communication between nurse and patient, less discipline and less friendly. Several factors related to nurses’ work culture were top manager’s commitment, communication, work environment, motivation, changes, and discipline. The objective of this study was to analyze factors related to nurses’ work culture in IRNA RSUD Dr. Moh. Saleh Probolinggo. This study used cross sectional design. Population was consist of 71 nurses who work at IRNA RSUD Dr. Moh. Saleh Probolinggo. Samples used in this study were 32 respondents, taken according to inclusion criteria. The independent variables were top manager’s commitment, communication, work environment, motivation, changes, and discipline and the dependent variable was nurses’ work culture, Data were taken by using questionnaire. Data analysis conducted using Spearman’s Rho Correlation test with significance level of p < 0.05. The result showed that top manager’s commitment and communication have no correlation with nurses’ work culture with significance level ρ = 0.442 and ρ = 0.551. And there were correlation between work environment with nurses’ work culture (ρ = 0.004, r = 496), motivation with nurses’ work culture (ρ = 0.000, r = 674), changes with nurses’ work culture (ρ = 0.000, r = 0.613), and discipline with nurses’ work culture (ρ = 0.000, r = 0.589). It can be concluded that motivation become the most dominant factors correlated with nurses’ work culture. This finding suggest the important of the motivation improvement to improve nurses’ work culture. The improvement of nurses’ work culture should be improve nursing care quality.
