Abstract

Scabies is a contagious skin diseases caused by sarcoptes scabei var, huminis. At the Qiyamul Manar 1 islamic boarding school, lots of students affted by scabies. One of scabies triggers is lack hygiene knowledge. The purpose of this experiment is to explain the influence of health education on hygienic behavior, as an effort to prevent scabies in Qiyamul Manar 1 islamic boarding school at Sidayu Gresik. The experimental using pra experiment design. Population that used in this experiment is the first grade middle school and sampling tecnique that used for this experiment is purposive sampling with 44 respondents. The data was analyzed with wilcoxon signed rang tes and level of significance α≤0,05 . The result from shows that there is a significant influence of health education on hygienic knowledge (p= 0,00), hygienic behavior (p= 0,00) and hygienic implementation (p= 0,00), it indicates that thereis a significant influence of health education onhygienic behavior to the knowledge, attitude and action to prevent scabies. This experiment explain that there is a significant influence of the health education on hygienic behavior to hygienic knowledge, behavior and action to prevent scabies on first grade middle school islamic at Qiyamul Manar 1 boarding school Sidayu Gresik. Students one adviced to always maintain personal hygiene and the environment and seek informaion according to scabies diseases in order to increase their knowledge on preventing scabies.
