Abstract
Introduction. Internship nursing program is a socialization process for nursing students to achieve the ability of professional skills. The transition from academic setting to clinical setting could lead stress and the occurrence of burnout syndrome. This study was aimed to analyze the factors that influence bunout syndrome on regular student in internship nursing program, Faculty of Nursing Airlangga University.
Methods. The design of this study was descriptive - analytic. The population was a regular nursing students in internship program Faculty of Nursing, Airlangga University. Samples were taken by random sampling technique and 63 respondents met the inclusion criteria. Data were collected using questionnaires. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation test Chi-Square and spearmen's Rho with a degree of significance p < 0.05.
Result and analize. Results showed that personal factors have values of p > 0.05 (personality, expectations, sex factors). And on environmental factors, found significant correlation values of p < 0.05 with r values > 0.25 (workload and reward).
Discussion and conclusion. It can be concluded that there was no a relationship between personal factors: the type of personality, expectations, demographics (sex) with burnout syndrome and there was a relationship between environmental factors: workload, rewards with burnout syndrome. It is suggested for nursing student to prepare more for their internship program to reduce the risk of burnout syndrome.
