Abstract

The final assignment arrangement is one of the end stages which must be followed by college students and frequently causes stress. It was shown by primary data which was taken, 8 of 10 college students state that they have stress and they’re stress responses were headache, diarrhea, back pain, muscle pain, etc. The study was aimed to learn the factors related to stress of college students on facing final assignment. This study used cross sectional design. Population was college students of A program of 8th semester in Bachelor Science of Nursing, Faculty of Nursing, Airlangga University. Samples of the research were 71 respondents, taken by simple random sampling. Data of stress level variable were collected by using Stressless questionaire. Data of factors related to stress level variable were collected by using questionaire made by researcher which had been validated. The results shows that college students stress related to factors of reference (p = 0,000), time (p = 0,001), counselor (p = 0,002), stressor meaning (p = 0,004), social support (p = 0,009), and self salary (p = 0,038). It can be concluded that there was a relation among factor of reference, time, counselor, stressor meaning, social support and self salary with college students stress, whereas factor of parent’s salary and belief didn’t have relation with college students stress. Further study should recommended that counselor, time and reference, as some of college student’s stressor, increase the quality and quantity, so college student stress can be decreased.
