Abstract

Enterobiasis is one of the health problems that occur in school-aged children. There are still many people and children especially of 4th grade students at Sidomoro I Elementary School,Gresik who haven’t learned about enterobiasis and how to prevent it. Health information that package into outbound has its own attraction for children. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of enterobiasis outbound towards knowledge and attitude of 4th grade students at Sidomoro I Elementary School, Gresik. This Quasy-Experimental study used non-equivalent control group design. The population was all of 4th grade students at Sidomoro I Elementary School, Gresik. This study used 64 respondents which divided into treatment group and control group. The sampling technique used purposive sampling approach. The independent variable was enterobiasis outbond and the dependent variable were knowledge and attitude. The instuments to collect data was quesionaire that the validity and reliability had been checked. The data was analyzed used Wilcoxon Sign Test and Mann Whitney Test with significant level p=0,05. The result showed that enterobiasis outbound had significant affect to increase knowledge and attitude (p=0,00 and p=0,043) to treatment group but different with control group that showed (p=0,157 and p=0,655). From Mann Whitney U Test showed that there was a diferences between treatment and control group (p=0,000 and p=0,043). It can be concluded that enterobiasis outbound given to 4th grade students at Sidomoro I Elementary School, Gresik increased knowledge and changed attitude about enterobiasis prevention. Hopely outbound can be used as one of nursing intervention to share health information especially about enterobiasis.
