Abstract
This research investigate the effect of lead acetate on epithel of the jejunum by feeding lead acetate to male mice to prove that oral lead feeding may reduce the thickness of villi jejunalis epithelium in mice (BalbC strain Mus musculus). Due to this research, 30 mices were divided randomly into 5 groups: control group, got lead acetate as much as 25 mgs/kg body weight, got lead acetate as much as 50 mgs/kg body weight, got lead acetate as much as 75 mgs/kg body weight, got lead acetate as much as 100 mgs/kg body weight. And so the experiment has been scheduled on 14 days, then it supported by Hematoxylin¬Eosin staining in order to be observed under light microscope. By using Anova with significance level less than 0.05, it showed that oral lead feeding not only can reduce the thickness of villi jejunalis epithelium (p= 0,000), but also increase the number of necroting epithelium in mice (p= 0,000).
