Abstract

Children with autist had social and language disorders. This research was a study about the comparison of social and language development of autist children in SDN Klampis Ngasem 1-246 Surabaya and School of Special Needs Dalta Ozora Madiun. This research used Comparative design with the sum of samples were 12 childrens. The social and language development were measured using rating scales from Mcconnell & Ryser. The objectives of this research were to analyze the data the researcher used Mann Whitney U Test and to know the difference of significance value between social and language development of autist children in SDN Klampis Ngasem 1-246 Surabaya and School of Special Needs Dalta Ozora Madiun using SPSS program at a=0.05. The result showed not significant comparison between social and language development of autist children in SDN Klampis Ngasem 1-246 Surabaya and School for Special Needs Dalta Ozora Madiun, with p=0.377. It can be concluded that there was no difference between social and language development of autist children in SDN Klampis Ngasem 1-246 Surabaya and School for Special Needs Dalta Ozora Madiun because it had similarity characteristic of social environment. Furthermore, other studies can be held to identify social and language development of autist children in inclusion school, which involve higher number of respondents and better measurement tools to obtain more accurate results.
