Abstract
Transition from elementary school to junior high school may cause stress. Environment secondary and boarding schools should laughter yoga will be a source conflict and pressure that can cause negative perception. Laughter yoga therapy is a laughter exercise and breathing exercise which combined to produce a balance physiological. In this study the the purpose was to explain the efffects of laughter yoga therapy on stress level in VII class female student junior high school in Pondok Modern Al-Rifa’ie Malang. A quasy experimental design was used in this study with simple random sampling as the sampling technique. There were 20 respondents and distributed into 2 groups, an experimental groups (n=10) and a control groups (n=10). Data were collected using PSS questionnaire. Data were analyzed by wilcoxon sign rank test and mann whitney test with significance level of α < 0,05. Wilcoxon sign rank test result showed that there was differences between pre-post test in experimental group (p=0,006), on the other hand, there were no significant differences between pre-post test in the control group (p=0,564). The result of this study was proved by mann whitney test that also highly significant differences between experimental group and control group (p=0,005). It can be concluded that laughter yoga therapy decreased stress level in VII class female student. Hopefully laughter yoga therapy not only used as a therapy for decrease stress level, but also used to solve the other health problems.
