Abstract

Almost six percent patients that has been registered in Puskesmas Taman Sidoarjo suffer hypertention which cause by genetic factor and unhealty life style. The object at the study was to examine the effect blood pressure with tomato smoothie in Wonocolo village, Taman Sidoarjo. Method: design used in this study was quasy eksperimental. The population was clients with primary hypertension in Wonocolo village, Taman Sidoarjo. Total sampel was 34 respondents, taken according to inclusion criteria. The independent variable was tomato smoothie. The dependent variable was blood pressure score in patients with primary hypertension. Data were collected by using bio-physiologi in-Vivo with measuring blood pressure. Data were then analyzed by using Paired and Independent T Test with level of significance α < 0.05. Result: showed that systolic blood pressure decreased from 153 to 136 mmHg. Score in providing nursing intervention to those clients did have effect with their effect (p = 0,000), diastolic blood pressure decreased from 95 to 86 mmHg. Score in providing nursing intervention to those clients did have effect with their effect (p = 0,000), It can be conclude that tomato smoothie in providing intervention to regulation blood pressure clients had effect with systolic and diastolic blood pressure score. Further studies should focus on the effect of tomato to reduce lipoprotein cholesterol and triglycerides.
