Abstract

Familiy planning program attempt to lower birth rate by increase the number of fertile couples using contraseptive methode and improve the used of efective contraceptive type. The aimed of this study was to describe contraseptive methode selection behaviour in women at obstetric policlinic Adi Husada Undaan hospital Surabaya. Analytic Descriptive was used in this study whith cross sectional design. Data were collected using quesioner. The population was women in their reproductive age at Adi Husada Undaan Hospital Surabaya. Sample were taken by using total sampling with 34 women. Data theam analysed using spearman rho with lever of significant p :5 0,05. The result showed that the level of knowledge and attitude had significant corelation with contraceptive selection knowledge p=0,031, with a value of r = 0,423 shows that there is a correlation. And attitude p=0,030, with a value of r = - 0,373 shows there is a connection in the opposite direction. According to this study, women has to make responsible decision in chossing contraceptive methods by having enough knowledge and discussion with partners. A good knowledge about contraceptive methods will increase the accuracy of the electoral action of contraceptive methods in women of fertile Age.
