Abstract

the elderly. The program’s goal was to improve and preserve the health of elder people. Hopefully, those people could take an active and do the routine part to maintain their health. However, some of those didn’t come to control routinely. Many factors involved in this situation. The objective of this study was to analyse correlating factors on elder’s visitation at Posyandu. Design used in this research was a cross sectional. The population was the elder whose visiting Posyandu at Tanali’s village. This study involved 50 respondents taken by simple random sampling method. The data were collected using questionnaire, and were then analyzed using Spearman’s rho with significant level of p<0,05 Result showed that the visiting of the elder was quite routine, the cognizance of the elder had a weak correlation to their visitation (p=0.03). The elder attitude had also less correlation with their visitation by the level of p = 0.024. However, family support relatively had a slight correlation with the visits by the level of p = 0.015. As it was also shown on the correlation between the elder expectation and their visitation, by p = 0.022. Elder perception on the officer’s performance less correlated to the visiting frequency by p = 0.02. And so did too on the correlation between their perception on the health care service and their visitation (p = 0.028). It can be concluded that knowledge, attitude, expectancy, and perception on the health care service were the correlating factors on the elder visitation at Posyandu Tanali village, Welamosa public health centre in Wewaria subdistrict of Ende. The dominant factor was the family support. Furthermore, cross sectoral cooperation, Health education on the beneficence of Posyandu to families and elder as effort of improving health care service in Welamosa’s Health Centre working area in Wewaria subdistrict.
