Abstract

Introduction. A proper Perineal hygiene is essential in maintaining female teenagers health reproductive organ. In SMPN 45 Surabaya, many female students complained of their health reproductive organ either before or after menstruation period. This research was aimed at analysing factors influencing those female teenagers behaviour towards perineal hygiene based on PRECEDE PROCEED model. Method. The design of this research was descriptive analytical cross sectional with purposive sampling technique. The sample was 56 respondents. The independent variables were knowledge, attitude, facilities and infrastructure, family and friend's support towards the female teenagers. The dependent variable was perineal hygiene behaviour. The data were collected using closed-questionnaire and were analyzed using multiple-linear regression test with significant level of α < 0,05. Result.The result showed that knowledge (significance 0,035; β = 0,476), attitude (significance 0,021; β = -0,518), facilities and infrastructure (significance 0,025; β = -0,188), family support (significance 0,012; β = 0,429), friend's support on perineal hygiene behaviour (significance 0,041; β = 0,349) had significant effect on the female teenagers towards perineal hygiene behaviour. Discussion and conclusion. In conclusion, knowledge, attitude, facilities and infrastructures, also family and friend's support had significant influence on female teenagers perineal hygiene behaviour.
