Abstract

By signification Phosphate can avoid the process of caries of the teeth with the capability of the buffer capacity. The kind of the research is laboratories experiment in vitro. the aim of this research is to know the decline of multiplication of Streptococcus mutans with addition of phosphate and to know the increase media pH with addition of phosphate to the growth of media of Streptococcus mutans. The quantity of the sample 30 divided to six groups are control (-), control (+), phosphate 0,5%, phosphate 1%, phosphate 1,5% and phosphate 2%. The multiplication measurement of streptococcus mutants with technique of absorbance by using spectrophotometer and media pH of the growth of streptococcus mutants with pH meter. The result said that there is decline of Streptococcus mutans by signification (p<0,05) with addition of phosphate and there is the decline of media pH by sib'llification (p<0,05) with addition of phosphate to the media of the growth of streptococcus mutans.
