Abstract

The objective of the research is to determine the combination ratio of glucose and fructose that cause minimal decrease of rat blood glucose after anaerob exercise. The type of experimental design was laboratory experimental with randomized control pre test-post test design. The samples of the research were randomized 32 male rats (Rattus norvegicus) which are 3 until 3,5 month age and each weight among 175-250 grams. The samples divided into 4 groups consist of 8 rats per group. First group treated with combination of glucose fructose solution 30%:70%. Second group treated with combination of glucose fructose solution 40%:60%, third group treated with combination of glucose fructose solution 50%:50%, and forth group treated with combination of glucose fructose solution 60%:40%. Each group had anaerob exercise. The mean result of glucose fructose groups {mg/dl) were gluctose fructose 30%:70% fasting: 76.00 ± 6.7612, post intake glucose fructose: 96.875 ± 7.4726, and post exercise 90.0 ± 6,9076. Glucose fructose 40%:60% fasting: 82.25 ± 11.8171, post intake glucose fruct0se: 121.125 ± 15.478, and post exercise: 99.875 ± 17.4964. Glucose fructose 50%:50% fasting: 83.00 ± 11.2884, post intake glucose fructose: 108.25 ± 8,4642, and post exercise: 89,75 ± 10,8595. Glucose fructose 60%:40% fasting: 81.75 ± 10.471 post intake glucose fructose: 115.375 ± 10.7296, and post exercise 91.375 ± 13.3624 Result from anova test of the alteration respons of blood glucose level after treated by combination of glucose fructose solution results p= 0.020 (F=3.867) that means there was effect of adrninistation of glucose fructose combination to blood glucose level after anaerob exercise. The result of the research showed that administration of combination glucose fructose solution 30%:70% caused lowest decreasing of blood glucose level after anaerob exercise. Based on the result of the research it needs to explore the effect of administration various combination of glucose and fructose on human.
