Abstract
Nurses should be able to provide nursing care in a holistic and comprehensive without discriminating of social and economic status of patients. The attitude of nurses in providing nursing care will be perceived by the patient that the patient will assess the nursing care that they received as good or not. This study aims to identify correlation between perception of inpatient Jamkesmas on quality of nursing care using servqual method at Surgical Ward D, Pamekasan Hospital.
Design of this study was croon sectional with correlational approach. Population was all Jamkesmas patients treated at Surgical Ward D, Pamekasan Hospital. Sample comprised 35 respondents, recruited using total sampling. Research instrument used questionnaires. Data were analyzed using spearman rho.
The study found 60% of Jamkesmas patients had negative perceptions and 40% had a positive perception. Regarding the quality of service 62.9% stated that the quality was not good and 37.1% stated good. Spearman rho test statistics showed that there is a correlation between Jamkesmas user patients' perceptions of nursing care and the quality nursing care with a value of p < 0.05.
Patients who perceived negative impact on nursing care will provide ratings that are not good on the quality of nursing care. Nurses in providing nursing care should be guided by the standards of care, and hospital management should always enhance knowledge, skills and attitude so that the nurse in providing nursing care quality can be improved and the quality of nursing care can be achieved optimally.
