Abstract
Hypnocaring is a nursing intervention that is based on the ability to communicate effectively on the thinking person's subconscious. Every pre surgery patients must be having a pre surgery anxiety. Anxiety is normal reaction to stress and threat of danger to the perception of danger, whether real or only imagined. Hypnocaring is a nursing attempt to lower the anxiety. This study was aimed to identifying of the effect of hypnocaring to decreased anxiety level in pre surgery patients..
The research using a pre experimental study. Researcher population obtained 30 Taman Husada Bontang Hospitals. Total sample was 12 Variable independent is a hypnocaring techniques and variable dependent is anxiety. The data were analyzed by Wilcoxon Signed Rank, with significant levelp < 0,05.
Result showed that there was decrease of anxiety level before hypnocaring all patient in potition anxiety medium after hypnocaring majority patient the anxiety disappeared, the significant correlation showed p = 0,002. That means hypnocaring techniques can reduce anxiety intensity in Taman Husada Bontang Hospital.
This study concluded that there was a significant effect of hypnocaring to decreased anxiety level in pre surgery patients. This can be a suggest as one of several options for decrease anxiety level in the nursing care..
