Abstract

In the treatment of children requires different handling than the treatment in adults. The nurse holds a key position to help parents deal with issues related to child care in the hospital because nurses are in addition to the patient for 24 hours. However, most nurses are actively involved and focus on medical phenomenon. This phenomenon is forcing nurses to give more attention to tasks cure rather than care, so nurses do not have time to listen to patients, provide support, comfort and other caring acts. The purpose of this study to analyze the relationship between the nurse attention behavior (caring) with stress of hospitalization at pre-school children in Flamboyan Room BLUD dr. H Soemarno Sosro Admodjo Tanjung Selor Hospital. This study used a descriptive research design using analytical methods Cross sectional surveys, the population in this study were all pre-school children are treated in Flamboyan BLUD Dr. Soemarno Sosro Admodjo Tanjung Selor Hospital, the data in this study collected with the observation sheet. The results after the statistical test using the Spearman rho showed (p) = 0027 to 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between nurse attention behavior (caring) with stress of hospitalization at pre-school age children in the Flamboyan room BLUD dr. H Soemarno Sosro Admodjo Tanjung Selor Hospital. Nurses are expected to retain good nurses caring behavior, especially can be improved so that patients and their families feel comfortable and able to adapt to the stress of hospitalization.
