Abstract

Tuberculosis is a disease that is caused by Microbacterium Tuberculosis which is spreaded from Tuberculosis sufferer to other person especially the nearest person with sufferer's family / sufferer. When someone is infected with this disease it takes 6 moths to recover and a long period of time of minimum 6 months. The spreading risk of Tuberculosis disease is the family that live in one roof. Thus the danger of spreading in housing that has dense inhabitant with poor ventilation also less light of sun and bad settlement environment. The purposes of this research is "Study Case" by using design with "descriptive" method. Population in this research is entire sufferer's family TBC BTA positive who take treatment at lungs poli I BP4 Surabaya. This research is started at January 10, 2005 to January 31, 2005. Sample in this research is taken by using total Sampling amount of 54 person it is taken according to inclusion criteria. Variable Independent is housing meanwhile variable dependent is TBC spreading pattern in family. Collecting data method using questionnaire and observation paper and data analysis by using descriptive analysis data. The result of this research is 19% houses are healthy, 30% less healthy and 51% not healthy. And TBC spreading pattern in family occur 63% spreading and 37% do not occur spreading . Result of this research will be input for employee of BP4 Surabaya to improve information about TBC spreading in family to prevent TBC prevalence.
