Abstract

The role of mother in stimulating motoric developmental of toddler (1-3 years old) will be decide the next growth and developmental. That mother's role influenced by many factors, there are predisposing, enabling, and reinforcing factors. This study was aimed to analyse factors corellating with mother's role in stimulating motoric developmental of toddler (1-3 year old) in Puskesmas Jelakombo Jombang. Design used in this study was cross sectional design. The population was all mothers in puskesmas Jelakombo Jombang workfield, who have children age under 1-3 years old. Total sampel was 36 responden, selected by means purposive sampling, and taken according to inclution criteria. The independent variable were education, age, knowledge, attitude, experience before of mothers. The dependent variabel was mother's role in stimulating motoric developmental of toddler. Data were collected using structure questionner and responden observation. Data were analyzed using spearman correlation test with level significant of p .5 0,05. Result showed that mother's education in stimulating motoric developmental did have correlation with their role (p=O,OOO & r=0,931), mothers age (p=O,OOO & r=0,753), mothers knowledge (p=O,OOO & r=0,729), mothers experience before (p=O,OOO & r=0,802), mothers attitude (p=O,OOO & r=0,753), family support (p=O,OOO & r=0,644), and facilities of stimulating (p=O,OOO & r=0,732). It can be conclused that mother's role in stimulating motoric developmental are related with many aspect, like their education, age, knowledge, experiences before, attitude, family support and facilitiaes . And the dominant factors of mother's role is education level in predisposing factors.
