Abstract
East Kalimantan (East Kalimantan) is an area that has prospective marine and fisheries potential. West Kutai Regency has the potential of fisheries in the form of largepublic waters to be developed. Fish consumption from year to year has increased, while the potential of fisheries has not been utilized optimally. Constraints and issues of concern to the partner groups so far are not many fish farmers who have mastered fish culture technology properly. The purpose of this activity is the application and transfer of science and technology as well as skills in the application of fish spawning and hatchery technology through the provision of fish seed independently to increase freshwater fish production in partner groups. The approach to the activity method is carried out through several stages, namely mapping conditions and problems faced by partner groups, delivery of material related to fish hatchery technology, spawning technology using fish induce spawning (TIS) technology in freshwater fish farming as well as monitoring and evaluation and assistance to partner groups. The results of spawning activities with TIS give results that the main carp and catfish which are injected with hormones (ovaprim) spawned entirely. The temperature of the measured water media is 26-28oC. This TIS can help the community in providing fish seeds by maintaining good quality seeds by applying good seeding methods.
