Abstract
Tulisan ini mengkaji tentang pergeseran sistem kesantunan masyarakat Jawa di Kawasan budaya Arek, khususnya masyarakat perkotaan. Pergeseran tersebut dilihat berdasarkan perbedaan secara generasi yaitu generasi muda (remaja) dengan usia sekitar 15-20 tahun (generasi kedua) dan generasi orang tuanya yang berumur 45 tahun ke atas (generasi pertama).
