The work method used in this Field Job Practice is descriptive method in order to get primary and secondary data. the data taken through active participation, observation, interview and literature studies. The hatchery owned by govemment under Directory General of Cultured Fisheries of Fisheries and Marines Department. The water sources are from the sea with using seawater pump connected with paralon pipes. Measured water quality are in the rate of pH 7 — 8, with temperature 29 — 32 °C, and the salinity 32 — 35 ppt. The breeding process inquires using environment manipulation technique with broodstock ratio on male : female is : 4. Eggs production for one breeding process 8.000.000 — 20.000.000 grains. Hatching system is controlled with hatching rate approximately 94 — 97 %. The food needed during larval rearing are rotifera (Brachionus plicatilis), nauplii Artemia and pellets factory made. Diseases seen in the fish are often caused by fungi, parasite, and bacteria. Survival rate during larval rearing to nursery is 5 - 7 %. Business rentabilities is 53,3 % with refund or payback period seen after 4 cycles of production.
