Abstract

There are four purposes in this study. The first purpose is to find out system production of organic fertilizer from poultry manure with standardization. The second purpose is to find out the investment needed for the production facility of organic fertilizer facility. The third purpose is to find out the breakeven point and payback period for this investment, and the fourth purpose is to find out the added value gained from the production of organic fertilizer from poultry manure. The research method used in this study was the survey method. Data was collected by interviews and direct observation, and compare with data reported by science journal and others literature which related to this study. The data collected from PT. Sinka Sinye Agrotama was used as basic information for analyzing the amount of investment needed, cost of production, sale income, breakeven point, payback period and added value gained. Data collected from PT. Intertama Trikencana Bersinar was used as comparator when the poultry manure was sold without processing. The result of this research shows that the production of organic fertilizer from chicken manure with standardization could be done, the investment needed for the processing facility is not big, the breakeven point is low, the payback period is short and the added value gain from production of organic fertilizer is quite big.
