Abstract
This aims to analyze the portrayal of sexual value and sexual stratification to Liam O'Neill, the transgender on Luna novel by Julie Anne Peters and how he facing the problem. This analysis will shows the struggle of Liam in order to get an acceptance from society and his parent. The society is created a hierarchy of sexual value and this hierachy built the sexual stratification.The first section of this analysis will show Liam's life because of sexual stratification and the portrayed of sexual stratification from Liam's family and neighborhood. This study will use Sexual Stratification by Gayle Rubin in analyzing the novel and resolving the problem of the analysis. The result of the analysis shows that Liam as transgender has left his family due to live life as a woman.
