Abstract

"Women of the Sun" (1985), which was written by Sonia Borg and Hyllus Maris, is a novel conveying the life of five women Aboriginal characters. Consisting of five chapters, with each chapter focusing on a different woman character, this novel concerns with the lives and struggles of five women in Aboriginal society. The characters are Towradgi, Alinta. Maydina, Nerida. and Lo-Arna. This study is emphasized on the representation of Aboriginal women within the text and the influence(s) of the white settlers' coming toward the Aborigines and their culture. The method used in this study is descriptive analysis through literature.
