Abstract
Corrective feedback is one way used by the English teacher to correct or repair student's errors. Here, students at the fifth grade who just start to learn about the English language need teacher's correction to improve their English language. The purpose of this study is to know the types of Corrective Feedback used by the English teacher in teaching English language at SD Negeri 1 Mancar Jombang and to know the most frequently usea type of Corrective Feedback given by the English teacher at SD Negeri 1 Mancar Jombang. The method used by the writer is qualitative method which does not deal by statiscal analysis but only explore about data in the field. The data were collected using digital camera to record the class activities and also observation form to write the data, after that the data in digital camera were transcribed by the writer. The data were analyud by using Lyster theory about corrective feedback (1998b). Lyster classified his theory into three types, explicit correction, recast and prompt The result of this study shows that prompt is the most frequently used types of corrective feedback by the English teacher at this.
