Abstract

This study is aiming to discuss about the search for the meaning of life in Mitch Albom's novel, The Five People You Meet in Heaven. This novel depicts about the main character, Eddie, bis journey in searching for the meaning of his life. The issues that will be discussed within this thesis are the problems that Eddie got during his life and the purposes of the presence of the five people in heaven based on Eddie's problems in searching for the meaning of his life. Within this novel there are two problems that Eddie got; those are Eddie's own problem and bis problem with his father.
