Abstract

This thesis analyzes the impact of parents divorce undergone by their kids especially their only daughter set as the main character. New Criticism theory is used to base the analyses focusing on internal structure such as character and conflict. The method used in analyzing the data is in interpretative method that is explaining deeper understanding based on primary data which is supported by secondary data. The primary data is quoted lines related to problem taken from the novel The Last Song. Secondary data is from both printed and electronic sources, either in a kind of journal, books, magazines, etc.
