Abstract

Estrus detection and mating program (breeding) is the right way to be able to optimize the optimum reproductive performance in dairy cows. The design of the research conducted in this study was a pretest-posttest design. Consists of four kinds of treatment that PICl, PIC2, P2Cl, and P2C2, each treatment repeated four times. Factors tested are Factor P: age of corpus luteum 15 days (PI) and corpus luteum age 10 days (P2), Factor C: remove of progesterone implants 9th day (Cl) and day 13th (C2). The results obtained by statistical tests indicate that there is no interaction between age differences corpus luteum with the time difference of remove controlled internal drug release (CIDR) (p>O.05). Non significant differences in progesterone concentration at the time of the implant after the implant due to removed at the time of progesterone implants, the corpus luteum in cattle is still functional. The total sample of 16 dairy cows, 13 samples showed signs of a estrus on the three days after removed controlled internal drug release (CIDR). So the total percentage of the overall sample showed signs of estrus was 81.25%. Overall sample of 16 dairy cows use perrektal ultrasonography (USG). The total sample of 16 dairy cows there were 9 dairy cows that experienced pregnancy and 7 dairy cows that did not pregnancy.
