Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out the influence of Marsilea crenala's leaf extract to blood calcium level of female rat. 24 female rats aged 18 months weighted ± 300 grams were devided into four treatments and six replicates. PO was aquadest solution as a control, PI, P2, and P3 were Marsilea crenaJa's leaf extract IOmglkg body weight, 30mglkg body weight, and l00mglkg body weight in dose. The treatment were given twice everyday at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Taking over of the blood were done on ten days later for blood calcium level test with Cresolplhalein method. Completely Randomized Design or Fully Randomized Design method were used in this research. The analysis of result data were done by Varian Analysis continued with Duncan's Multiple Range Test. The result show that Marsilea crenala's leaf extract treatment of female rats has a significant effect, and it can be noticed from the increasing blood calcium level (p<O,OS). The highest level of blood calcium was consist of P2, whereas the lowest level were consist of PI, PO, and P3.
