Abstract
Infectious Bursal Disease is caused by Birnavirus, has a mortality rate up to 100% and immunosuppressive. The aim of this study was determine antibody titer difference of layer chicken vaccinated with IBD monovalent inactive vaccine and IBD polyvalent inactive (IBD-IB-ND) and to know the relationship between two types of vaccine administration with weeks of treatment vaccination. A total of 24 chicks were divided into four groups. Group 1 (P1), six chickens was vaccinated with IBD monovalent inactive (LV3UA) at the age of two weeks given 0.3 ml /chick with a dose of 103 TCID50/0,3ml virus. Group 2 (P2), six chickens was vaccinated with IBD polyvalent inactive (LV8UA) at the age of two weeks are given 0.5 ml /chick with a dose of IBD virus 103 TCID50/0,5ml, 1035 EID50/0,5ml IB, ND 1050 EID50 /0,5 ml. Group 3 (P3), six chickens as a control IBD monovalent inactive vaccine given 0.3 ml physiological NaCl /chick. Group 4 (P4), six chickens as a control vaccine IBD polyvalent inactive (IBD-IB-ND) given 0.3 ml physiological NaCl/chick. Blood sampling for antibody titer observations was performed four times in all age groups for two weeks, four week, six week and eight week. Measurement of antibody titers was used in indirect ELISA. Data analysis used the General Linear Models (GLM) and ANOVA. The results showed that 1) there is no difference antibody titers of vaccinated layer chickens with IBD monovalent inactive and IBD polyvalent inactive (IBD-IB-ND) vaccine, 2) There is a relation between the used of both vaccine treatment and weeks of vaccination.
