Profil Resistensi Antibiotik Pada Bakteri Escherichia coli Yang Diisolasi Dari Feses Sapi Yang Dipotong Di Rumah Potong Hewan Pegirian Surabaya.
Thesis thesis, UNIVERSITAS AIRLANGGA.
Abstract
The aim of the study was to analyze the antibiotic resistance profile of Escherichia coli isolated from fecal bovine slaughtered at Pegirian abattoir Surabaya. Sample were obtained from the feces of some various bovine (Frisian Holstein, Madura, Bali, Simental, Limosin). The test results of 114 samples identified by examination of culture and Microbact™ GNB 12A/E System showed that 107 sample positive as E. coli. Antibiotic sensitivity was then tested by disk diffusion method according to Kirby-Bauer using 10 antibiotic disk as follows: erythromycin, oxytetrasiklin, chloramphenicol, ciprofloxacin, streptomycin, kanamycin, gentamicyn, ampicillin penicillin and trimethoprimsulfametoxazol. Interpretation of results referring to the guidelines Oinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSl). The results of antibiotic sensitivity test showed variations response of each isolates to some antibiotics used. The highest resistance found in two antibiotics: penicillin 107 isolates (100%) and erythromycin 106 isolates (99% ). Antibiotic resistance was not found at gentamicin. This study also showed that there were 44 isolates of E. coli that resistant to 3-7 antibiotics (multidrug resistance). 18 isolates were resistant to penicillin, erythromycin and chloramphenicol. 7 isolates were resistant to penicillin, erythromycin, streptomycin, and ciprofloxacin. 5 isolates were resistant to penicillin, erythromycin, streptomycin, ciprofloxacin, oxytetracycline, sulfamethoxazole 1 trimetropim and ampisillin.
