Abstract
This research is a descriptive study which using cross secliona/ design. The Obbjective is to know the relationship between the ward leader desecion making style and the degree of nurse perseption abaout desecion making style. The sample size, JO ward leader and 40 nurse are selected by proporsiona/ random sampling. The d!lta needed in this study is collected by questionare. The data is analyzed with computed statiscal/y to ideniify the the degree of nurse perseption ahaout desecion making style and The relationship between 1he ward leader desecion making style and the degree of nurse perseption ahaout desecion making style by Chi Square test with p< 0.01 The result shows that the degree of nurse perseption abaout desecion making style in Haji Surabaya Hospital are : moderat 75 % and High perception 25 %. The decesion making Style of ward leaders are instroclive style 30 %, Consultative style 50 %, participative style 20 % and no one has delegative style. The relationship between the ward leader desecion making style and the degree of nurse perseplion abaout desecion making style show p = 0.000. It is proved that the ward leader desecion making style will affect to the degree of nurse perseption abaout desecion making style There are four decesion making leadership style in situasion leadership style : instructive, consultative. participative and delegative style. An effective leadership style is based on a leader capabilitiy to know problem of ward situation, they need a high or low - direction and orders. The degree of nurse motivation is signivicantly influenced of effectivity leadership style. There is a relationship between them.
