Abstract

In a full control (centralized) drug management, all drug that will be distributed to the patients are fully under the control of the nurses. Drugs release centralization in a hospital may result in drug abuse, particularly in terms of dose, time, and method, since patients may consume drugs in inappropriate ways. This study was performed to find the influence of centralized drug management system on patient's satisfaction at Adult Internal Wards, Manembonembo Hospital, Bitung, North Sulawesi. . This study used pre-experimental design involving 16 respondent at Adult Internal Wards as samples. Statistical tested used was Mann-Whitney Test with significance level of p = 0.001 (p:=:; 0.05). Centralized drug management should be applied in hospitals to improve the safety in drug distribution to the patients and to prevents drug abuse.
