Abstract

Diabetes treatment consisted of 4 important pillars were medication, diet, education, and phisycal training. Diabetes mellitus patients didn't need medication if they exercised routinelly. One type of exercise suggested was low impact aerobic exercise. The aimed of this study to identify the effect of low impact aerobic exercise on decrease of blood sugar level exist. This study was used pre-experimental one group pre post test design with the population diabetes mellitus patient who participated in low impact aerobic exercise in this study was RS TNI AL Dr. Ramelan Surabaya. Samples were 40 respondents which taken by purposive sample technique. The independent variable was low impact aerobic exercise and dependent variable was decrease of blood sugar. Data were taken by using observation and then analyzed by using paired t test with significance level p:S0.05. The result showed that there was an effect of low impact aerobic exercise on decrease blood sugar with significance level p= 0.000. Conclusion, there was effect of low impact aerobic exercise on decreased blood glucose in patient with Diabetes melitus.
