Abstract

Social interaction is the important thing in having socialization. By having good socialization between client to client with the nurse can support the recovery of the client who have psycho problem with negative symptom withdraw themselves from social interaction. Condition of happening social interaction is the social contact and communication. To overcome it, the role of therapist in giving social skill training in the form of group activity theraphy is necessary to improve the skill in communication with others. The increasing of skill in communication will improve the ability of social interaction of withdraw client. The purpose in this research is to prove whether there is influence in socialization group activity theraphy: social skill training toward social interaction ability of withdraw client. Design which is used is pre-experimental, the number of sample is 6 people choosing by purposive sampling. The independent variable is social skill training, the dependent variable is the test of interaction ability using Wilcoxon signed rank test, with wrong degree 00 = 0,05, if p :s 0,05 so first hypothesis is accepted so that there are differences before and after the treatment. The result of research show that there is no influence of socialization group activity theraphy: social skill training to social interaction ability of withdraw client with communication ability (P=0,068). Based on the result of research, it can be concluded that there is no influence in socialization group activity theraphy: social skill training to social interaction ability of withdraw client. It happenned because of some factors, those are few number of sample and wrong selection, therapist ability in giving the social skill training.
