Abstract
This study attempts to prove that banana peel flour and fish meal supplementation on chicken-feed does not affect the weight and carcass percentage of broiler chicken exposed by heat stress. This study used 20 broiler chickens as experimental animals. The chickens were divided into four treatment groups: P0 (fed with standard feed), P1 (fed with standard feed and anti-stress supplementation), P2 (fed with standard feed and 10% banana peel flour supplementation), and P3 (fed with standard feed and 10% banana peel flour and fish meal supplementations). Each treatment group was exposed by heat (37° C) radiated by 60 Watt light bulb. The findings of this study indicated banana peel flour and fish flour supplementations significantly improved the weight of the chickens (p<0.01). Weight improvement of P3 (57.729) was not significantly different from P0 (56.243) and Pl (65.929) whereas P2 (41,085) was significantly different from P0, Pl, and P3. The results of carcass percentage examination indicated that banana peel flour and fish flour supplementations did not provide significant effect on carcass percentage (p>0.05). The carcass percentage of P3 (71.874) was not significantly different from P0 (70.006), P1 (74.645), and P2 (66.149).
