Abstract

Tuberculosis disease (TB) is an infection of lower airway caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosa. It was one kinds of contagious disease. Patient with TB must his got anti tuberculosis drugs. Ahnost aD of the TB~s patient were drop out from therapy. One of an is caused by motivation deficit The objective oftbis study was to analyze the effect of motivation on the obedience of OAT consumtion on patient with TB. Design was used in this study was pra-experiment design. The population were patients with TB at Puskesmas SoIokUTO. Lamongan. Sampling tedmique was purposive non probability sampling. T ota} samples wae 20 patients with TB, it was taken according to inclusion criteria. The independent variabJe was motivation. The dependent variables were obedience of OAT consume. Dependent variables were measured by observation sheet and questionnaire. Data were collected will be analyzed using SPSS for windows programme,~ Wilcoxon Sig!l Rank lest with level of significance 0,05. Result of Wilc.'O.TOfl Signed Rat,i Tes/ showed that there was changed of obedience before and after- giving motivation. The average was 850/. of obedience before giving motivation and It was 750/0 after givitig motivation. They we£e showed that changed of patient's obedience before and after giving motivation (p=O.OO). It could be concluded that motivation has been significant effect on obedience of OAT consume of patient with TB. Motivation effect obedience of OAT consume of patient with TB. Further study should involve the control group, It was expected to reduce the confounding variabl~ and that was identified other method to obedience incresae of OAT consume.
