Abstract

Nursing care documentation is a fact of nursing care with using nursing process approach method and patient response to medical, nursing implementation, or response patient to illness. The nursing care documentation is still weakness in the dr.H.Chasan Boesoirie hospital. If can be caused by record system is not standarized about completeness, accuracy, relevancy. This study was aimed to analyzed correlation between nurse knowledge and motivation as independent variable and nursing care documentation performed as a dependent variable. This study used observational analyzed with cross sectional design with 47 respondent as a sample and 44 patient medical record. Purposive sampling method was used in this study. Data on knowledge and motivation were collected using questionnaire and nursing care documentation using A instrument modified with completeness, accuracy and relevancy and then analyzed with Spearman rho test with significance level of p::: 0,05. Result showed that correlation between nurse knowledge and nursing care documentation in completeness ( p = 0,000, r = 0,520 ), accuracy (p = 0,004, r = 0,428 ),relevancy ( p = 0,002 r = 0,447 ). In nurse motivation, there is a correlation between nurse documentation and nursing care documentation in completeness ( p = 0,001, r = 0,495 ), accuracy ( 0,004, r = 0,426 ), relevancy ( p = 0,002, r = 0,459 ).
