Abstract

Mental retardation is a condition of development stage where signed with incomplete function intellectual and obstruction in adaptive behaviour, where in this situation cause a late in skill for fulfillment activity daily living (ADL). Scheduling activity is a behaviour therapy to stimulate initiative fulfillment activity daily living and shape effective behaviour in child with mild mental retardation because of conditioning situation or habit was created, so that independent was shaped to fulfilment ADL. The research was aimed to prove the influence of scheduling daily activity on developmental independent in fulfilment of activity daily living for child with mild mental retardation in SDLB Negeri Seduri Mojosari Mojokerto. This research used quasi-experimental design. The population was child With mild mental retardation in SDLB Negeri Seduri Mojosari Mojokerto. Total sample was 14 respondents, enrolled using purposive sample method. The independent Variable of this research was scheduling daily activity and the dependent variable was developmental independent in fulfilment of activity daily living (ADL). Data were collected using questionnaire and observation, data were analyzed by Wilcoxon signed Rank Test dan Mann-Whitney Test with significant level p :S 0,05. The result showed that scheduling daily activity had strong influence to development independent in fulfilment of activity daily living (ADL) for child with mild mental retardation, with the result of Wilcoxon test in control group showed p = 0,317 and treatment group showed p = 0,0 14. The result of MannWhitney Test showed p = 0,026. It's mean that scheduling daily activity to have influence for development independent. It can be concluded that there is significant influence of scheduling daily activity on developmental independent in fulfilment of activity daily living (ADL) child with mild mental retardation. Further study scheduling daily activity applied for child with moderate mental retardation to increase developmental independent in fulfilment of activity daily living.
