Abstract

"Progression of breast cancer increased in women aged 40-50 years old, not married, no children and not breastfeeding, family history, early menstruation, carcinogens, radiation and obesity. But no one knows the exact cause. The objective of this study was to explain the correlation personality type with grade of cancer in breast cancer patient. This research was analyzed corelation personality type with grade of cancer in breast cancer patient. Cross sectional experiment was used in this reseach. Sample comprissed 20 patient at Surabaya Onkologi Hospital (RSOS). The sample was recruited using purpose sampling method. Data were collected using MMPI for personality type and pathology report for grade of cancer. Data were analyzed by Spearman's Rho test with significance level of 0,05. Result showed correlation personality type with grade of cancer (p=0,000). Conclution from this study that there was correlation personality type with grade of cancer. If the number of breast cancer patient have introvert personality, it is followed by hight grade of cancer. Further studies should develop with the other factor that influent the grade of cancer in breast cancer patient."
