Abstract

The problem is uncorrectly giving meal for children in Blandongan. It cause BGM condition. There are a lot of factor that influence giving meal, such as education, mother knowledge, mother behaviour, and posyandu worker’s behaviour. This study was to analyze factors that related to giving meal of BGM case in children 1-3 years. This research used a cross sectional design. Populations were the mother who has a children in BGM condition in Blandongan. It used purposive sampling taken according inclusion criteria. Total sample was 15 respondent. Data were collected by questionnaire and then it analyze using Spearman Rho with level of significant is < 0.05. The results showed that there are correlation between mother’s knowledge with giving meal (p=0,005, r= 0,681) and mother’s behaviour with giving meal (p= 0,040, = 0,535). On the other hand, there is no correlation between education with giving meal (p = 0,381, r = -0,244). The same think happened with posyandu worker’s behaviour (p=0,635, r=0,134). 1t can be conclude that education and posyandu worker’s behavior had no correlation with giving meal. But there were other factor that have correlation, the factors are mother knowledge about nutrition and mother behaviour to fulfill the food consumption for their children. It is important to do further research about another factor that related with giving meal especially in BGM case. Because hopefully it can give better solution and service to the children with BGM condition.
