Abstract

Cirrhosis hepatis is a chronic disease that causes many physical and psychological changes in the patient, patient was can be fell in depression phase. The purpose of this study was to analyze the difference between hospital-based support in IRNA Wijayakusuma B RSU dr. Soedono Madiun with home-based support in city Madiun city toward depression's level in patients with cirrhosis hepatis. Design was used in this study is pre-experiment (pre and post test design). Total Sampleswas 14 respondens that divided into two groups. The independent variable was implementation of hospital based support and home based support. The dependent variables was depression's level. This research design used pre-experimental pre and post test design. Total sample was 14 respondents, divided into 2 groups . The independent variables : implementation of hospital-based support Mann Whitney Tests and home-based support. The dependent variable was level of depression patients with cirrhosis hepatis. Result showed that Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and of hospital based support get the p-value Z= - 1,414 P = 0,157 (p > 0,05), if s means that the alpha 5% there was no significant difference in the average level of depression before and after intervention. In the home based support got the value Z = - 1,414 P = 0,157 (p > 0,05), if s mean at alpha 5% there is no significant difference. The difference between the effects of home-based support and hospital-based support in get the value z= 1.000 P = 0,317 (p> 0,05 ), if s mean the 5% alpha look no significant difference. Further research should focus on developing a special group discussion for patient's famitiy and improving knowledge of nurses in health education. And get maximal support to patient Cirosis Hepatis
