Abstract

Introduction: Pill and inject contraception is a type of Short Acting Contraception whjch mostly used by people in Indonesia. Both of these contraceptives have a dominant side effects compared to Long Acting Contraception. The estimate rate of discontinuation these contraception is quite high. The discontinuation rate ofthjs contraceptive is able to decrease the continllity of contraceptive pills and injections. The purpose of this study to determine differences in interpersonal factors, self-efficacy, and the level of satisfaction in pill and injection contraceptive acceptors at Mojo Surabaya Health Centre. Methods: This comparative study used a cross-sectional approach. The samples used were 124 respondents divided into 2 groups, 62 pill acceptors and 62 injection acceptors who selected by Stratified Random Sampling. The independent variables of this study were interpersonal factors, self-efficacy, and the level of satisfaction with the dependent variable were a pill and injection, contraceptive acceptors. Data collection used questionnarres and analyzed using the MannWhitney U statistical test with a significance level of <0.05. Results: The result of this study showed that there were differences in interpersonal factors, self-efficacy, and the level of satisfaction for family planning acceptors of pill and injection with a value of p = 0.00, p = 0.029, and p = 0.00. Discussion: Interpersonal factors, self-efficacy, and the satisfaction level of pills also injections contraceptive will affect the continuity of the use of these birth contraception
